A few years ago I started spending more time in Latvia due to my Latvian partner. Wanting to connect more with the country and its people, I discovered the crowd-sourced photo archive Zudusī Latvija. The archive spoke to me, not just the images themselves, but the hidden stories behind them. That’s how Zudusī Latvija The Project began.

Through conversations with Latvians, I try to find personal stories connected to the archive. By sharing these stories on social media and my blog, I hope to raise awareness of the archive and inspire others to contribute their own stories.

In the end, I want to bring these stories and images together in a self designed book. A physical object that keeps Latvia’s cultural heritage alive and growing.
